This specificatiion applies to cable glands for use with flameproof enclosures. It prescribes requirements in respect of those features of design, construction, and performance considered to be essential to secure reliability of glands in service. The tests specified in This Standard are intended as type tests to prove a particular design for compliance with the specification.
