This Standard specifies requirements for Types 1 and 2 thermosetting synthetic-resin bonded-paper tubes of rectangular cross-section, of internal side dimensions from 1/4 inch to 6 inch and with a wall thickness of from 1/32 inch to 1/8 inch inclusive. The tubes specified are intended for electrical insulating purposes for use at voltages up to the following values:- 1000 volts D.C or 1000 volts A.C. (r.m.s.) at frequencies up to 100 c/s.
