These rules cover the use of normal reinforced concrete and plain concrete in any structure to be erected under the provisions of building regulations, by-laws, ordinances, and the like. The design of prestressed concrete structures and of special structures such as highway and railway bridges, and hydraulic structures such as tanks and pipes, is not covered.
