This code sets out essential requirements in providing for an adequate level of quality and functional performance for electrical installations in single and multiple domestic dwellings. It does not deal with requirements necessary to ensure safety from fire and electric shock hazards, which are contained in Part 1 of the SAA Wiring Rules (AS CC1) and in relevant statutory requirements.
