Specifies requirements for two types: Type 1 which is a stabilized material suitable for metal degreasing, dry cleaning, extraction of oils and fats and similar purposes; and Type 2 which is a specially stabilized material suitable for unusually severe duty metal degreasing particularly for aluminium and magnesium and their alloys. Each type covers relative density and distillation range, and includes limits for colour, residue on evaporation, alkalinity, free chlorine and stability. Test methods are described.
