This Standard provides words, phrases and a number of symbols that can be grouped into instructions for adoption by textile manufacturers, finishers, merchants or makers-up. they are intended for use in drawing up labels to guide housewives, launderers and dry cleaners in their selection of the appropriate cleansing treatment for textile goods, so as to reduce the risks of damage to such goods.
