This Standard specifies the energy labelling requirements for electric rotary clothes dryers intended for household and similar use. This Standard does not specify safety requirements. Examples of appliances covered by this Standard include vented dryers, condenser dryers and the drying function of combination washer/dryer units.In particular, this Standard specifies the following:(a) Program to be used for energy labelling(b) Projected annual energy consumption.(c) Tested energy performance.(d) Comparative energy consumption.(e) Star rating index.(f) Star rating.(g) Some of the requirements for energy label validity.(h) Performance criteria for energy labelling.(i) Test reports format and printing requirements for clothes dryer energy labels.
