Describes the high-level data link control (HDLC) unbalanced classes of procedures and the HDLC balanced class of procedures for synchronous or start/stop data transmission. This Standard is identical with and has been reproduced from ISO/IEC 7809:1991; amendment 5:1992, Connectionless classes of procedures; amendment 6:1992, Extended transparency options for start/stop transmission; and Amendment 7:1991, Multi-selective reject option.
