Specifies requirements and test methods for seating appliances which are designed to sit over the bath and which rest on or are fixed to the edges of the bath. It also applies to static seating used within the bath that is stabilized by the sides or the edges of the bath.

This Standard specifies requirements and test methods for seating appliances which are designed to sit over the bath and which rest on or are fixed to the edges of the bath. It also applies to static seating used within the bath that is stabilized by the sides or the edges of the bath. This Standard does not cover hoists incorporating a seat or bench that is placed within, over or near a bath.
Originated in Australia as AS 4069-1993.
