Specifies a coding method having progressive, progressive-compatible sequential and single-progression sequential modes. Also suggests a method to obtain any needed low-resolution renditions and is identical with and has been reproduced from ISO/IEC 11544:1993 including ISO/IEC 11544:1993/Corr.1:1995.
