This standard covers the production of waterproof plywood, made up of sliced or rotary cut plies of timber bonded by a waterproof adhesive. The chief characteristic of the sheets is the alternating arrangement of the direction of the longitudinal grain of the plies. Adjacent plies are crossed at right angles to distribute the strength of the timber.
