This International Standard lays down the terminology of circular screwing dies intended for production of threads to ISO Standards, and gives the cor-responding terms in the three official ISO languages.

NOTE – In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German, Italian and Dutch languages; these terms are included at the request of Technical Committee ISO/TC 29, and are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for Germany, F.R. (DIN), Italy (UNI) and the Netherlands (NNI). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.
