Gives two methods for determination of the thermal expansion of refractory materials. Applies to products fired to a temperature equal to or greater than the upper limit of intended testing, also can be used with oxidizable materials should the equipment be fitted with means to produce a reducing atmosphere. Maximum testing temperature is 1500 deg C.
