Specifies requirements for two types of material. Section One covers hydrated calcium chloride suitable for use in solution; Section Two covers anhydrous calcium chloride suitable for drying purposes. Requirements are included for calcium chloride content and particle size; Section One also includes requirements for water insoluble matter, sulphate content, acidity and alkalinity. There are three appendices containing methods of test.
