Describes a method for determining volatile unsaturates in styrene-butadiene rubber latices and measures residual styrene, and other unsaturates such as butadiene dimer. Requires a Dean and Stark distillation apparatus with a distillation flask and a receiver to hold 25 cm cubed of distillate.
