Defines an atomic absorption spectrometric method for determining the copper content of rubbers. Applies to raw rubber and rubber products with copper contents over 1 ppm. Copper contents under this limit can be determined if suitable adjustments are made to the mass of thet test portion and/or the concentrations of the solutions. Using the standard additions method may lower the bottom limit of detection.
