This part of BS7976 specifies the features, dimensions and characteristics of pendulum testers for use in determining the slip/skid resistance of surfaces.
This standard does not apply to the specific procedures for road and airfield surfaces in BSEN13036‑4, or to the use of the pendulum test as described in current product standards.
NOTE A method of operation for the pendulum tester is specified in BS7976‑2, and a method of calibration is specified in BS7976‑3.
