BS AMD 7668 RENUMBERS THIS STANDARD TO BS EN 29315 Describes a flexible disk cartridge drive and defines the necessary functional electrical and mechanical requirements of the interface for the connection of conforming flexible disk drives to a host system. Includes drives using media specified in many standards but does not exclude drives using other media. Intended to facilitate the interconnection of flexible disk drives to a host system by a user who has available the technical capability to verify test performance up through the functional level. Applies to both single- and double-sided disk drives using 200mm or 130mm envelope-size flexible disks. Does not prescribe the magnetic encoding or decoding method.
