This Standard applies to alternating current capacitors, both self-healing and non-self-healing, with a power less than or equal to 2.5 kvar, capacitance greater than 0.1 μF, having a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V, which are used in the circuits of discharge lamps operating at a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz at an altitude not exceeding 3000 m.
