This Technical Report gives guidance on the use of conformity assessment procedures for industrial piping and pipelines as covered by Article 1, 2.1.1 of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The PED requires all pres-sure equipment falling within its scope to have its design and manufacture assessed for conformity in accordance with a series of conformity assessment procedures given in Article 10 of the PED. These procedures are described in detail in Annex III of the PED to which reference must be made in order to ensure compliance. The following summary is given for guidance purposes only.
