Standard material, equipment, quality and manufacturing requirements of ferrous armour used for arc welding for the construction of armoured fabrications. Aluminium armour materials is defined in Def Stan 08-39. Only in accordance of this Defence Standard can welding be carried out. Guidance in BS 5135 and BS 7475 can be found for Non armour ferrous material (welded) Also Weld specifications produced and qualified in accordance with BS EN 288-3, BS EN 288-6 or BS EN 288-8
