This standard covers the requirements for six grades of shellac lacquers of differing non-volatile contents. The lacquers are used in the manufacture of ammunition components. Compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and users should seek advice on particular applications through the responsible Technical and Supervising Authority named in the tender, contract or order.
