Sandlime bricks and blocks are building materials for loadbearing and non-loadbearing masonry, used primarily to build external and internal walls. See DIN 1053 Part 1 for loadbearing walls and DIN 4103 for lightweight partitions. Sandlime bricks and blocks used in exposed masonry which is subjected to frost and moisture are dealt with in DIN 106 Part 2.
