These directions are intended to allow test specimens to be prepared from thermosetting moulding materials (compression moulding materials)1) by moulding 2) with compression moulds 2) in such a way that reproducible results are obtained. This demands the observance of certain general requirements regarding the production equipment (see Section 3) and also regarding the pretreatment of the moulding material (see Section 4), the moulding process (see Section 5 and Table 1) and the post-working and finishing treatment of the test specimens (see Section 6).
