This standard selects the appropriate quality assessment procedures and test methods from IEC 1020-1; prescribes preferred ratings and characteristics; and prescribes the general performance requirements for rotary switches. Covers rotary switches that have a rated voltage not over 300 V and a rated current not over 5 A (d.c. or r.m.s. values). Does not apply to rotary-actuated in-line characteristics.
