Proposes the adoption of IEC 60580:2000 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard to provide requirements for the performance and testing of dose area product meters with ionization chambers intended to measure dose area product and/or dose area product rate to which the patient is exposed during medical radiological examinations. Copies of IEC 60580 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or Standards New Zealand.
