Proposes requirements for a comprehensive urban and rural addressing system for allocation, transfer and management of property addresses. The draft incorporates AS/NZS 4724 Geographic information-Rural addressing and takes into account AS 4212 Geographic information systems-Data dictionary for transfer of street address systems and AS 4590 Interchange of client information. Geocoding is also covered. Guidelines for the use of the addressing system and examples of addressing are included. Proposed as a Joint Australia/New Zealand Standard.
