Proposes a new Standard which suggests requirements for unglazed spectacle frames made from all types of materials and intended for use with corrective lenses. It contains proposed requirements for performance, testing frame measurements and frame marking, together with test methods. Frames for non-prescription sunglasses, and products used for eye protection against industrial hazards (other than safety spectacles) are excluded from this draft Standard.
