Proposes the adoption of ISO 707 as an Australian Standard to supersede AS 1166-1974, Methods of sampling milk and milk products. Describes procedures and equipment for obtaining samples of milk and milk products for microbiological, chemical, physical and sensory analysis and for the preservation, storage and transportation of the samples. AS 1166-1974 was based on the 1968 edition of ISO 707 and in revising AS 1166, it is recommended that the 1985 edition of the International Standard be adopted without change. Copies of ISO 707:1985 may be purchased or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
