Proposes requirements for structural fire fighters helmets designed to reduce adverse environmental effects to the fire fighters head. Performance requirements for faceshields and neck and ear protectors, where these are fitted to the helmet, have been included. The proposed Standard does not address the requirements for specialized functions (e.g. bushfire fighting) or for other accessories.
