Proposes the material, design, marking and performance requirements of valve monitors for installation in automatic sprinkler and fire hydrant systems. The purpose of these devices is to monitor the set position of all stop valves that may adversely affect the correct operation of the system, and transmit an alarm to a central watching station if an attempt is made to tamper with the stop valve, or the device.
