Proposes the better alignment of the requirements of the Standard with the current needs of regulatory and other authorities. Greater cognizance has been taken of various publications of Worksafe Australia. Also, the structure and content of the Standard has been simplified, the Appendix on Class 8 substances has been deleted, and a bibliography of documents providing guidelines on the preparation of emergency plans has been included in a new Appendix.
