Applies to both metallic and non-metallic conduits and fittings used to protect cables in electrical installations. Proposes requirements for conduits and fittings now covered by AS 2053-1984 and AS 2052-1977 and also for profile-wall, smooth-bore conduits and flexible metal conduits. Proposes requirements to allow the classification of corrugated conduits as heavy duty. Proposed as Joint Australian/New Zealand Standards.
