Proposes to provide a central reference to all the Standards, including this proposed Joint Standard, that are collectively termed the 'Pressure Equipment Standards'. Sets out the requirements to which pressure equipment for Australia and New Zealand shall be designed, manufactured, tested, inspected, installed, commissioned, operated, maintained, repaired, altered and disposed of. Details specific Australian and New Zealand requirements, equipment covered, materials, relationships, with overseas Standards; and provides a basis of design strength and procedures for enquiries, interpretations and rulings. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
