Proposes basic requirements, in terms of component identification and recording of installation details, to facilitate management (including assignment of circuits, fault location and alterations) of cabling infrastructure in commercial premises. Identification codes are proposed, as are symbols to be used in drawings, and a format for the recording of relevant information regarding installations is presented. Examples of suitable drawings to be prepared are included.
