Proposes to consolidate, rationalize and extend the present requirements of pressure equipment installation. It is part of a major program to restructure, unify and simplify the various Standards which form the SAA Boiler Code AS/NZS 1200. Provides the requirements for installation to ensure safety of pressure vessels as well as boilers and recognizes the growing use of quality assurance systems. It also provides the minimum installation requirements to ensure the initial and continued safe and reliable performance of pressure plant.
