Proposes practices for the protection of the eyes of persons at work against hazards likely to occur in different occupations. Emphasis is placed on the detection and elimination of eye hazards. Additional guidance is provided for manufacturers and dispensers of prescription lenses on the suggested requirements for the production of prescription personal eye protectors. Comment on the prescription personal eye protector Section, especially on the Table giving advice on the selection of lens material in relation to prescription type, is sought. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
