Proposes extensions to the coverage of the Standard to encompass the indicator visibility test, and requires that manufacturers provide evidence of any claimed IP rating for detectors intended to be installed in locations where they will be exposed to moisture. Changes to classification (Clause 1.4), sensitivity adjustments (Clause 2.5), sensitivity (Clause 3.2 and Table 3.1) and marking (Clause 4.1) have also been made.
