Proposes guidelines on the requirements for the safe use of building maintenance units, in addition to the general requirements of AS 2550.1. It includes sections on planning, selection, siting, erection and dismantling, operational criteria, maintenance, inspection, repair and record requirements. The appendices provide details of a typical building maintenance unit inspection and testing certificate and a typical logbook format.
