Proposes the minimum requirements for the design, construction, installation and commissioning of mechanical and airconditioning systems for fire and smoke control in multi-compartment buildings. Five specific methods of smoke control are defined and the appropriate requirements specified for each. This Standard does not include requirements for smoke control systems utilizing exhaust from above the hot layer. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
