Proposes the adoption of IEC 598-2-8:1996, which specifies requirements for handlamps and similar portable luminaires, which are held in the hand when used, for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 250 V. This Part is to be read in conjunction with Part 1. Proposed as an Australian/New Zealand Standard.
