Proposes the adoption, with Australian variations, of IEC 60475:1974 as an Australian Standard. IEC 60475 describes the procedure to be used for sampling liquid dielectrics of viscosity less than 1500 cSt both in delivery containers and electrical equipment. Not recommended where dissolved gas analysis or the determination of low water content is to be applied to the sample. Copies of IEC 60475 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
