Proposes the adoption of ISO 11785:1996 which specifies how a transponder is activated and how the stored information is transferred to the transceiver. An annex sets out requirements additional to ISO 11785:1996 for application in Australia and New Zealand. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
