Proposes the adoption of IEC 60038:1983, its Amendment 1:1994 and Amendment 2:1997. IEC 60038 applies to standard voltages for systems and equipment with frequencies 50 Hz and 60 Hz having a nominal system voltage above 120 V a.c., d.c. traction systems, and systems with rated voltages for equipment below 120 V a.c. or 750 V d.c. This draft also applies to a.c. single wire earth return (swer) systems. Variations to IEC 60038 for application in Australia are included.
