Gives manufacturing, testing and design requirements for spacers for overhead line conductors. Also given, is information for rigid spacers (bolted or compression, for use with jumpers or downleads), semi-flexible spacers (designs incorporating semiconducting elastomeric bushes, flexible wire or articulation to allow relative movement of the subconductors but with undefined damping properties), and spacer dampers (flexible spacers with defined damping properties).
