Provides guidance with respect to the flaw detection capability of penetrant flaw detection systems, when applied in accordance with BS 6443. Flaw detection capability is tabulated for each of the main penetrant systems and, where appropriate, it states any limitations imposed on the method by surface finish, material, etc.
