This method covers the determination of dynamic viscosity of lubricating oils at elevated temperature and high shear rate. The method described relates to one specific set of conditions, (150 deg. C and 10 sec ) selected to correspond with existing and proposed lubricant specifications. The method may be readily adapted to other conditions if required. The method should not be used by extrapolation to higher viscosities than those of the Newtonian oils used for calibration of the apparatus.
