This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the measuring method for floor impact sound level which indicates the isolation performance against floor impact sounds of floors between upper and lower rooms, between upper corridors and lower rooms, and the like in various buildings. The floor impact sound levels referred to herein mean the sound pressure levels, measured in the sound receiving room, of floor impact sounds produced by the two kinds of floor impact sound generators of the light type and heavy type.
