This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the thick textured finish coatings, hereinafter referred to as the \"thick coatings\", composed of binders such as cement and synthetic resin emulsion and aggregates as main raw materials, which are used mainly for finishing interior and exterior walls of building, by spraying, roller coating, trowelling or the like, into uneven patterns generally of single layer and about 4 to 10 mm in thickness.
