This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the drawing of the following eight kinds of preponderantly involute gears to be used for general machines. (1) Spur gear (2) Helical gear (3) Double helical gear (4) Crossed helical gear (5) Straight bevel gear (6) Spiral bevel gear (7) Hypoid gear (8) Worm and worm wheel This Standard may correspondingly be applied to gears other than those mentioned above. Further, this Standard specifies the items peculiar to gears while the general items involved in the schematic figures of gears shall be as specified JIS B 0001.
